inhope.org: Facebook under fire over child porn

A significant amount of child pornography is being uploaded onto Facebook every single day, according to a new report. The world’s largest social network, despite deploying several techniques to censor this type of content is playing host to many inappropriate images and groups.

A Facebook spokesman said: "[...] We have a zero tolerance policy for child exploitation materials on the site and take industry-leading measures to try to accomplish that goal, [...] integrating Photo DNA, a technology that scans all images on Facebook and flags know child exploitative material [...].” The average amount of time indecent content stays on Facebook is three days.
